Sometimes the best thing to do is to keep things basic. Also, give your jeans a break occasionally.

If you’ve read my first post, you’ll know that I’m not a big fan of having my photo taken. I'm definitely prefer being the one taking the photos, but with this blog I’m aiming to show off my personal style, so that means I’m just having to brave the camera a little more and get some friends to take some photos of me.

More recently I’ve been choosing subtle detailing over loud prints and I think this outfit is just one example of that. For the base of my outfit I paired a simple oversized t-shirt from H&M, with some Topman woollen trousers for a more casual approach. I then wore what some may class as ‘not correct’ in matching up my trousers with some all black Nike Roshe’s from Nike iD, however I feel they actually go quite well and are far more practical for when you are walking around all day.

When you’re on the go you always need to have a bag and this Fred Perry Holdall is perfect for that, accessorised by a paisley cravat I bought from a market stall in Hong Kong. My sunglasses are also from Topman that I picked up last summer. I successfully forgot to take a photo of my watch, but it is a really understated watch from Michael Kors that I am sure will appear in a future outfit post soon.

Sometimes you’ve just got to be confident in trying some different in your styling and not think of traditional norms in fashion, because you never know, it just might work.jbicon
